We’re off the beaten path.
But easy to get to.
The city of Prince George is the jumping off point for your trip to Dezaiko Lodge.
The largest city in northern British Columbia and known as the northern capital of BC, Prince George is a regional hub with an economy based on the forest products industry. With a population of 78,000, it is home to two universities, the University Hospital of Northern BC, restaurants, cultural attractions and outstanding outdoor recreation.
Prince George is easy to get to by air. Our international airport (YXS) is serviced several times daily by Air Canada from Vancouver, West Jet from Vancouver and Calgary, and Central Mountain Air from Vancouver and Edmonton.
If you are driving, Prince George is located at the intersection of Highway 97, the main north-south highway in BC, and Highway 16, the northern Trans Canada highway. Driving times are approximately 8-10 hours from Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary.
Prince George has many hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts ranging from economy to deluxe. Many of our guests stay at the Coast Prince George.
Our helicopter staging site is about 1 hour – 1 ½ hour drive from Prince George. From there it is about a 10 minute helicopter flight to the lodge.
